Shortly after graduating from St. Petersburg College in 1981, I landed my first paralegal position at Johnson Pope in Clearwater, Florida. From that moment forward, I embarked on what would ultimately become my ongoing 41-year professional journey and personal adventure.
During my sojourn, I was fortunate in that I was able to parlay my SEC and FINRA regulatory compliance expertise -- and leverage my hands-on knowledge -- to continue expanding my career into more senior roles as a Paralegal Supervisor, Corporate/Securities Legal Executive and Senior Compliance Officer, both at home and abroad.
I launched BCCP in June 2006, shortly after transitioning from my position as Director of Variable Annuity Compliance at AIG Sunamerica and taking the plunge into Entrepreneurship, so that I could devote my full time and attention to launching and nurturing my fledgling global consulting and training firm.
Fast forward to 2022: 16 years later, my Consortium of Experts and I have succeeded in taking BCCP from a small startup to where we are today: A global leader in providing niche consulting, training, and expert witness services to the the financial sector and the legal community.

We deliver interactive training through Bekker Compliance Institute (BCI), our Global Training Division. Our International Experts design each of our interactive, how-to workshops utilizing a blended learning approach, which includes a unique combination of lecture and roundtable discussions with scenario-based group exercises, case studies, simulations, and gamification. When tailoring customized training for our clients, we focus on combining international best practices with demographic, cultural, regional, and local considerations.
Our Global Headquarters are based in Tampa, Florida. We also have a US satellite office in Porter Ranch (Los Angeles), California. In 2012, we opened our first global regional office in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, to serve the Caribbean and Americas. In 2018, we opened another regional office in Bangkok to serve the APAC region. We will be opening another US satellite office in New York City later this year.
