Requirements

In order to apply, it is essential that you have at least 10 years regulatory compliance experience in one or more of the following financial services sectors:

  • Hedge Funds
  • Private Equity Firms
  • Investment Companies
    • Mutual Funds
    • Insurance Companies
  • Investment Advisers
  • Broker/Dealers
  • Banking Institutions

Also required: Prior senior compliance officer, auditing, or operations experience within one or more of the above-referenced sectors.

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • One or more of the following attributes are a PLUS:
    • MBA and/or JD degree
    • CPA designation
  • One or more of the following attributes are a HUGE PLUS:
    • FINRA or similar securities licenses
    • ACAMS or equivalent certification
    • IT degrees, coupled with financial services and auditing expertise

  • CCO experience
  • In-house experience with a financial services regulator (e.g., SEC, FINRA, FSA, SFC, CSRC)
  • Multilingual, especially Arabic, Mandarin, Spanish, and Portuguese
  • Project management experience
  • Technical expertise with web-based e-compliance solutions
  • Global compliance experience in one or more of the following regions:
    • G7 and EU countries
    • Caribbean, especially:
      • Bermuda
      • British Virgin Islands
      • Cayman Islands
    • Eastern Europe
    • Latin America, especially:
      • Brazil
      • Colombia
      • Ecuador
    • Middle East, especially:
      • Bahrain  
      • Kuwait
      • Qatar
      • Dubai
      • Other United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries
    • North Africa, especially
      • Egypt
    • Southeast Asia, especially
      • China
      • Hong Kong
      • Indonesia
      • Singapore
      • South Korea

Travel may be required, depending upon the client's location.

Prospective consultants must possess an entrepreneurial spirit and a think-outside-the-box, creative problem-solving mindset. Prospective consultants must also enjoy working with diverse groups of people in high-pressure and ever-changing working environments.
